Samenvatting
A brief description of the history and the beginning of the construction of the ring-road in Amsterdam is presented. The policy background of the layout and design of this ringroad was to decrease the through traffic in the city, to divide the traffic which has his origin or destination in Amsterdam, and to give a connection road between the different residential areas.
