Samenvatting
A quantitative approach of the risk analysis and the role of statistics in it is described. A special calamity can be caused by different factors. It can be described which factors are prominent and which factors are related to each other. The description is often done in a scheme, called "error- tree". Starting from this scheme the role of statistics in the risk analysis is discussed.
