Samenvatting
There has been a strike by the public transport personnel in the first months of 1995. During the first week the strike was total, thereafter public transport was available during peak hours. This strike has made it possible to study how public transport users react on the dropping of from the public transport in the region and in which way the strike has had consequences for work and for the different businesses and organizations. A retrospective study has been made to see which other transport modes were used and in which way public transport journeys were made at another time or not at all. Results show that only the beginning of the strike was a substantial obstacle for children going to school.
