Samenvatting
Between the tram and the private car is a third trans port mode. Some which combine the individual profits of the private car with the social profits of mass transit with tram, bus or railway. The taxi is such a transport mode. Only 0.02% of all movements in the Netherlands is done by taxi. Why this percentage is so low, and what is to be done to increase this percentage is discussed. The political importance of the problem and the priority to be given to it are presented.
