Samenvatting
This paper deals with various aspects of bituminous pavements. In the first place the forces exerted on the road surface by the traffic and the stresses occurring in the pavement are discussed. Then the factors that influence the life of asphalt pavements are treated of and a survey is given of the criteria for judging pavement quality.
