Further improvements of the Man-Road-Vehicle Traffic system must now concern the human component. Human information processing research of risk acceptance and risk taking, and psycho physiological and biomedical research of threat coping mechanisms need to be integrated. Standardization and stimulation and cooperation in empirical studies are recommended.
