Samenvatting

This report examines the magnitude and characteristics of, and trends in, the problem of road crashes involving young people age 15-19 and 20-24 in Canada. The objective of the report is to provide background information for a companion TIRF report, “The Road Safety Monitor 2004: Young Drivers”, which describes the results of a national public opinion poll. The current backgrounder is also the first of a series of reports emerging from a major investigation on youth and road crashes, under funding from Toyota Canada Inc. (Author/publisher)
