Samenvatting
In 1975 Dutch road safety policy plan announced two experimental schemes involving the reclassification and reconstruction of urban road networks; traffic zones and residential zones were reclassified, and a reconstruction was designed to make residential areas safer and more pleasance to live in, by reducing the nuisance due to traffic as much as possible. The schemes were put into practice during 1979-1981. Results of a before and after study are presented.
