Samenvatting

A notable trend in automotive systems is the composition of stand-alone safety applications into integrated safety systems. These systems provide safety services that combine and extend current functionality in order to increase the level of safety for the occupants of the vehicle (and to some extent also people outside the vehicle), and require extended services from the underlying electrical and electronic (E/E) architecture. The EASIS project, which is a part of the European Commission's 6th Framework Programme, provides insights and solutions to these challenges. This paper describes the main results concerning dependability services and approaches of the platform. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
