It is shown that in the case of circular as well as radial glare sources the equivalent veiling luminance at constant glare angle and constant illumination of the cornea increases with decreasing brightness the more strongly, the smaller the angle of glare. Deviations from the theorem of addition are noted for glare angles smaller than 2 degrees.
