Samenvatting
About 600 cases of drivers suffering heart or circulate failure are examined. Examinations demonstrate that a driver with a chronic valvular heart disease generally is not dangerous on the road. On the other hand, a man suffering heart diseases is more liable to traffic violations or accidents than the average healthy person. Physical examination for license must be made on an individual basis. Physicians should inform his patients about possible dangers of heart failure driving, especially under the influence of medicines which could affect driver capability.
