After an introduction on the number of accidents, in which drivers under the influence of alcohol were involved, the elaboration of alcohol on driving behaviour is discussed. The drinking behaviour, some aspects of the personality of drunken offender and measures, which can be taken in the battle against drunkenness in traffic are outlined.
