Samenvatting
In order to avoid congestion on motorways a systems technology approach has been developed, whereby motorways are fitted with modern data acquisition processing systems making it possible to influence traffic events by control measures adapted to the situation. The mathematical model must be tested by measurements in the real situation. Problems of traffic surveillance are considered. Sensor techniques and system technical questions of data processing by filter behaviour are studied.
