Samenvatting
A decrease of the legal speed limit in urban areas can decrease the average level of injuries in traffic accidents. It is required, however, that the real driving speed, and as a cause of it also the impact speeds, de crease significantly. The effect on the arising of accidents and the way in which the measures must be executed must be a subject to research first. Experiences in other countries must be considered.
