Description of 3225 victims of road traffic accident trauma according to type of accident, severity of injury, and nature of lesions sustained.

The objectives of the study were (1) to establish the frequency of road accident trauma in a defined area; (2) to determine the distribution of injured traffic accident victims by type of accident responsible for their trauma; (3) to characterize the severity of injuries sustained; and (4) to summarize the nature of injuries sustained.
