Samenvatting
An integrated web-based AVL (automatic vehicle location) system is proposed that allows a centralised control centre to monitor different fleets of vehicles via different communication carriers. This system is also good for single communication carriers to provide quick and friendly AVL system to their customers. A Java based system guarantees that this system can be run on all platforms. Also, a vector based digital map is able to allow further applications such as routing and dispatching. The preliminary testing results and promotion workshops show that governments and all levels of users recognise such a system.
