Samenvatting
Ten different optimization criteria are listed and described and their interdependence is given. With regard to the usefulness of such criteria in various traffic conditions, it is concluded that under light and medium conditions the cost criteria, i.e. delay and stops, should be used whereas under heavy conditions the so-called dynamic criteria, degree of occupancy and speed, were more appropriate.
