Samenvatting

A high proportion of child pedestrian casualties involve 10-14 year-olds. Despite the transfer of pupils at this age group from primary to secondary schools and the longer and more hazardous journeys involved, only a minority of secondary schools provide road safety education programmes for Years 1 and 2. In order to improve the schools' provision for this age group, a research project was set up to develop and evaluate an appropriate educational resource.
