Development of an automatic control model for a pair of portable traffic lights.

On two- lane highways, when provision should be made for alternate one- way movements (for construction and maintenance works), the traffic characteristics differ from normal operation. This study proposes optimal strategies for controlling the alternate one- lane operation by means of a pair of portable traffic signals.
