Development of a computer based tool for evaluating visual field requirements of vehicles in merging and inter-section situations.

The object of this research was to develop a capability of generating data that can be used by the vehicle designers to evaluate visual field requirements of vehicles under side collision situations existent at the freeway merges and intersections. Methods and results are presented.
