Samenvatting
This compendium illustrates some of the accident data comparability problems and the difficulties encountered in determining expenditure levels in highway safety areas by state and locality. The different data processing coding forms and work sheets used in recording state and city expenditures indicate several of the technical and organizational problems. A suggested list of suggested highway safety standard output measures which, when developed, should be used in place of the expenditure proxy is also included.
