Development of ICT Infrastructure in Romania – Easyway Action.

This paper shows the main aspects of a road network in Romania and the need for a national ICT infrastructure to enhance the level of quality for road services in Romania and to create a solid base for intelligent transportation system (ITS) development on Romanian roads. The authors present some immediate benefits of implementation and development of road ICT infrastructure, correlation with information services on road and several conclusions and recommendations for future development of ITS in correlation with Easyway project.
