Samenvatting
The Highway Safety Information System has released a the summary of a report that examined recent crash data through the development of a speeding-related crash typology, which is designed to help define the crash, vehicle, and driver characteristics that seem to result in a higher probability of speeding-related crashes. The goal was to determine the 'what', 'where', 'when' and 'who' descriptors of speeding-related crashes in order to provide guidance to the future development of new treatments and to better target new and existing treatments to subgroups of drivers and types of roadways or roadway locations.
