Samenvatting
Today, ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) is being promoted in Japan as a solution to traffic problems such as congestion, accidents and air pollution. In this process, it is important to evaluate in advance the effect of installation of new systems utilizing transportation simulation systems to know the cost/benefit realistically. For this, the authors developed the transportation simulation system REST (Realistic Evaluation System of Transportation). This paper describes REST and its application to ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) interchange planning. For the covering abstract see ITRD E114174.
