The physical and psychical load of bus drivers in Salzburg was studied. Pulse frequencies were measured for stress, and a special examination of the driver at the beginning and at the end of the journey was done to examine the fatigue. It is concluded that both loads could be diminished, by a better schedule, (an extra rest) and by an improved traffic engineering, free bus lanes etc.
