Samenvatting
The article deals with the factors associated with the braking of an automobile thereby deriving formulae which describe the relation between braking time and braking path. This theory is then applied to the calculation of speed from braking distance, after which the problems associated with the calculation of braking deceleration due to the coefficient of friction of the road are also discussed.
