Samenvatting
Evaluation method of braking tracks on road surfaces. A number of factors, some of them as yet unknown, influence of factors, some of them as yet unknown, as well as a presentation of the mechanics of braking for passenger and freight vehicles with different braking systems. It is concluded that the friction coefficient of the road surface has to be measured if the braking speed of a car (e.g. in case of an accident) has to be determined with any accuracy.
