Samenvatting
In contrast with the aviation, the railway and the navigation, there does not exist a comparable competence of research in the field of the road traffic. Therefore, two case studies have been carried out. On the basis of both case studies, it is shown (1) that profound research as conducted by the Council for Navigation is a useful approach for the field of road traffic too, and (2) that the analysis of accidents is a useful entry in preventing accidents in the seagoing fishing.
