Samenvatting

Preliminary results from an analysis of a large data base built in Michigan to provide detailed exposure information reconstructed form individual driver trip-days are presented. Age, sex and residence location were the most effective of several biographical factors. It is concluded that no simple combination of qualitative exposure measures, even when collected with the most detailed microdata techniques, promises to predict accident rate with high success.
