The characteristics of motor vehicles provide some of the essential data upon which the design of traffic facilities is based. Some of the important physical dimensions and characteristics of motorcars operating in New Zealand. This paper analyses these dimensions for the convenient use of engineers, planners, etc, who find such information vital to their work.
