Samenvatting
Models with discrete dependent variables (logit, probit) are very frequently used in the analysis of issues in transportation. Models with continuous dependent variables have been in use much longer (estimation with the Ordinary Least Squares method). Recently a number of models has been developed in which discrete and continuous variables are explained simultaneously. This paper gives some information on the theoretical foundation, estimation and a number of applications.
