Samenvatting

Road goods traffic in urban areas has long been the stepchild of transportation planning. It is obvious that service traffic in central areas is of great importance both for the economic viability of cities and also for the smooth functioning of the economy. It is shown that the problem of urban goods traffic is beginning to emerge from the shadows, and to be accorded more and more the important place that is deserves.
