Samenvatting
A general description is given of traffic metering at onramps of motorways and at the border of residential areas. Special attention is paid to traffic metering at the border of a residential area in combination with a reduction of lanes to reduce or even prevent through traffic in order to improve the quality of the environment. FLEXSYT is used to simulate different kinds of strategies of traffic metering. The results are used to determine the design and the restrictions.
