Samenvatting
This European Standard gives requirements and procedures for impact testing and classification in passive safety terms of permanent support structures for road equipment such as lighting columns; support for signs and traffic signals and emergency roadside telephones; utility poles and other similar items. It includes testing and classification of pedestrian guardrails, but excludes vehicle restraint systems such as safety barriers which are covered in NEN 1317 and noise barriers which are covered in NEN 1793. It does not include transilluminated obstruction markers, nor does it include temporary work zone traffic control devices.
