Samenvatting
The development of a three-dimensional mathematical model that predicts the response of an automobile occupant is outlined. The predicted response includes position of the occupant relative to vehicle, acceleration of various of the human body and forces acting on various human body parts. Validation of the model has been achieved for research of car collisions in which the vehicle occupant dynamics of belted as well as unbelted passenger could be predicted.
