Simple tabulations are presented describing accident charac- teristios of several driver groups.Such tabulations can only describe qccidents and possibly lead to hypotheses for fur- ther study.Records of 32,381 drivers injury-producing car accident. were studied.With respect to accident type,older drivers and females showed relatively less involvement in single-car accidents.ln two-car accidents they also showed a relatively higher frequency for "being strucktt Age and sex differences in time and day of accidents were also shown. Males (Particularly younger)were relatively more involved in night accidents and in weekend accidents.
