Samenvatting
The extent and characteristics of collisions at uncontrolled marked pedestrian crossings in New South Wales are described. Factors contributing to driver behaviour on the approach to such crossings are discussed. Particular attention is paid to the perception of crossing facilities, the preparation for the presence of pedestrians and the reaction to conflict situations.
