Samenvatting

A set of driver performance training activities has been developed to prepare drivers to be able to handle a vehicle under such stress conditions as: tire failure, skid situations, off-road recovery when a wheel(s) drop- off pavement onto shoulder, and ability to properly steer vehicle, evade sudden impending dangers, and brake the vehicle without losing control. These activities when learned and practiced have been able to improve drivers' ability to operate a vehicle, to respond to stress conditions with a high degree of success.
