Samenvatting

A sample of drivers stated that penalties correct their behavior in traffic. The drivers were not fully aware of the fines for traffic offences. 76% of the drivers are of the opinion that jail should not be used for mild offences of drinking and driving laws. Assumed is that a combination of fines and a long suspension of driving licence will have a better impact on traffic safety than jail, concerning these mild offences.
