Samenvatting

Some findings related to a group of breathalysed drivers in Melbourne are outlined. The average blood alcohol level among these drivers was found to be considerably higher than levels produced by "social" drinking. Preliminary findings suggest that drivers who are breathalysed may differ in some respects from the general driving population. This remains to be confirmed by comparison with the sample drawn from the general population.
