A primary safety system is effective only if, at statistical level, it avoids dead or injured people. The anti-lock braking system (ABS) is the most famous primary safety system which has been put into general use in vehicles over the last 10 years. The advantage in having an ABS braking system is obvious. It allows vehicle control while braking through optimal use of adherence conditions and reduces braking distance to a minimum in almost all situations. So, while the experimental effectiveness of the ABS system is clear, its effectiveness on the road remains to be seen, at least in terms of reducing the number of accidents and accident victims. Thereby, the aim of this study is to evaluate the driver's emotional reaction and stress in order to determine whether the driver is able to have a correct reaction or not, depending on his emotional level.
