These proceedings provide the written record of the 4th International Driving Symposium on Human Factors in Driver Assessment, Training, and Vehicle Design. This symposium has established a tradition of interdisciplinary driver performance assessment research by uniting driving safety researchers from over a dozen nations in 2001 in Aspen, Colorado, in 2003 in Park City, Utah, and in 2005 in Rockport, Maine.
