Subjects were divided in four groups on their basis of their driving records. They were compared on various personality, attitudinal, drug usage and biographical variables. The less safe drivers scored significantly higher on a sensation-seeking scale, and were more likely to have experimental with drugs like marihuana, hashish and LSD.
