Samenvatting

Legislation responsive to the problem of impaired driving has traditionally been targeted at those whose connection is influenced by the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Interest in the problem of driver impairment caused by the ingestion of licit and illicit drug is of more recent origin. The focus of this paper is upon the task of formulating offence definitions which deal in a precise way with the problem of drugs and driving.
