By means of visual traffic counts and interviewing cyclists passing by on rural roads in the neighbourhood in the city of Zwolle, a study is made into the experience of the recreating cyclists of the traffic concentration and vehicle density on rural areas. Further study into factors which influenced the use of the road and cycle tracks by such cyclists is stressed.
