Dynamic impact test, numbers M 126, M 127, M 148, M 128 and M 147 of auto guard rails, carried out for Dansk Auto-Vaern A/S between 13th May and 30th May 1974.

5 Impact test of auto guard rails were carried out. Original design details and specifications of the reinforced concrete guard rail, as developed in Denmark, are given. Impact test included impacts of passenger cars and loaded lorries in comparison test of fibre reinforced concrete guard rails and steel guard rails. In general it was seen that the Dansk concrete auto guard rail compared favourably with the steel guard rail currently in use in Denmark and was effective in retaining and retarding the impact of vehicles.
