Samenvatting

This paper describes a Dynamic Traffic Assignment (DTA) model as proposed in DRIVE2 project "DYNA". The proposed model is used to provide short term prediction of network conditions in terms of speed, flows, queue lengths and travel times. DTA can be sub-divided into two main parts such as path choice and dynamic network loading (DNL). Path choice may occur both before-trip and during-trip. DNL derives link performances starting from path flows and network conditions. It uses a packet approach where users are supposed to be continuously time distributed between two points which are explicitly tracked. (A)
