Samenvatting

This study presents an effective cordonline model for analyzing dynamic urban network O-D (origin-destination) distributions. The proposed model incorporates signal effects on the computation of travel time variability and thus is capable of providing realistic estimation of time-varying O-D distributions in urban signalized networks. To accommodate the variation of traffic sensor density and distribution in various networks, this study has discussed the flexibility of constructing intersection-based cordonlines. The proposed model substantially increases the observability of a dynamic O-D system, and yields significantly improved results. (A*)
