The Boston Transportation Planning Review (BTPR) provided an opportunity for ecological groups to organize and express themselves in a unified manner alongside the interests and values of other social and political interest groups that participated in the process. Representatives of the environmental team discussed various issues concerning ecological impact. A detailed investigation of a location revealed an area of concern that had not been suspected before.
