Samenvatting

The cost-effectiveness relationships for various combinations of lighting design criteria and roadway geometrics were investigated. Variables considered were average illumination, rations of average-to-minimum and maximum-to-minimum illumination, and multilane highways. Cost considered for each case included maintenance, operation, and accident costs; the relationships between the alternatives are presented in tabular form. (See also A 7097).
